Terms of use

Plain terms for a tool that runs on your own machine. Using nomark means accepting them.

01

What this tool is

nomark is a free, browser-based utility that removes the visible watermark composited onto images and video generated by Gemini, Nano Banana and Veo. It runs entirely on your device. It is provided as a utility rather than as a service: there is no account, no availability commitment and no support obligation.

02

Intended use: your own content

nomark is intended for content that you generated and are entitled to modify. You are responsible for holding the rights to any file you process and for what you do with the result. Using it to remove marks from work that is not yours, to misrepresent the authorship or origin of content, to evade a licence or platform rule, or to present generated material as an authentic photograph or recording, is outside the intended use and is your responsibility alone.

03

What it does not do

nomark removes a visible overlay. It does not remove SynthID or any other invisible or forensic provenance marking, it does not certify a file as authentic, and it makes no claim about how a processed file will be classified by any detection tool. It is specific to the marks it was built for and is not a general-purpose watermark remover.

04

No warranty

The tool is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Results depend on the source file, and some files are returned unchanged by design. Keep your originals: nomark cannot recover a file you have overwritten.

05

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this tool, including loss of data, loss of profit, or any consequence of how a processed file is subsequently used. Because processing happens on your device and no file is transmitted, the maintainer never possesses your content and cannot act on it.

06

Licensing and attribution

The removal engine is a fork of an MIT-licensed open source project, redistributed under that licence with the original copyright notices intact; the NOTICE file in the source repository names the upstream authors. The surrounding site is written and maintained by Vladimir Mihalevich. Gemini, Nano Banana and Veo are products of Google; nomark is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Google.

07

Changes

These terms may change as the tool changes. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the top. Continuing to use nomark after a change means accepting the updated terms.
